Jan. 9, 1809, letter to George W. Campbell, a Republican member of the House of Representatives from Tennessee, mainly regarding Campbell's land claims (he had purchased N.C. military warrants) in middle Tennessee. Anderson also discusses Col. Edward Ward's application to become public receiver of monies from the sale of lands in southern Tennessee (relinquished by the Cherokees in 1806); the desirability of obtaining Chickasaw lands located between the Tennessee and Mississippi Rivers; and the Cherokee desire to sell and remove west of the Mississippi.
